Chesco Library's Shakespeare Statue Decked Out In Eagles Green

Turns out, William Shakespeare was actually an Eagles fan all along.

EXTON, PA — Turns out, William Shakespeare was actually an Eagles fan all along.

A statue of the bard located at the Chester County Library - Exton location was recently decked out in an Eagles winter cap.

It makes sense. What affinity would the poet and playwright from Stratford-upon-Avon truly have for a placed called "New" England?

As the library noted in sharing a photo of the statue to social media, Shakespeare himself did write of Eagles. From Scene 1, Act 1, of "Timon of Athens": "But flies an eagle flight, bold and forth on..."

No mention of the New England Patriots in the Bard's opus, however.
