Chesco Spot Among 'Coolest Ice Cream Shops,' Philly Mag Says

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — It's not technically summer yet, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy summer fun and treats, most notably ice cream. And a Chester County ice cream shop was recently listed among the best in the Philly area.

Philadelphia Magazine crafted a list of the "Coolest Ice Cream Shops In Philadelphia," and Kennett Square's own La Michoacana Ice Cream made the cut.

Twenty-two shops were included on the list, and La Michoacana and Havertown's Koffmeyer's were the only shops not in Philly proper to be featured.

Here's what Philly Mag says about La Michoacana:

This offshoot of downtown Kennett Square’s Michoacana Grill makes more than 50 flavors of house-made ice cream, water ice, and frozen pops in classic flavors and tropical options like guava-guayaba and passionfruit.

La Michoacana is located on 231 E. State Road.
