Chester County Hires New Detective Who Took Down Local Drug Operation

He was crucial in the execution of Operation Telarana, which took down a local drug syndicate with ties to Mexico.

WEST CHESTER, PA - Chester County has hired a new detective experienced with investigations involving major drug, violent crime, and child abuse.

“Detective Oscar Rosado is a key addition to the Chester County Detectives,” said District Attorney Tom Hogan. “He is an experienced and accomplished investigator. In addition he is fluent in Spanish, an important tool in many investigations.”

Rosado was born in Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States.

“It is my honor to be selected,” Rosado said. “I will work hard every day to live up to the trust placed in me.”

He previously worked for the Kennett Square Borough Police Department, and worked extensively with the Chester County Detectives during Operation Telarana.

Telerana was an anti-drug operation that dismantled a Mexican drug trafficking organization run out of Chester County.

Rosado has also been trained as a forensic interviewer in child abuse cases.
