Chester County Hospital is one of the best in the entire state, according to new rankings and analysis issued by U.S. News.
WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County Hospital is one of the best in the entire state, according to new rankings and analysis issued by U.S. News.
The local hospital placed 13th overall in Pennsylvania, which is about where it came in for the 2018 ranking, at 10th.
Hospitals are ranked by an analysis of 12 categories, including cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, nephrology, and more.

While Chester County is not nationally ranked in any specialty, it was listed as "high performing" by U.S. News in neurology, pulmonology, geriatrics, and gastroenterology.
Three of its procedures were also highly ranked, including hip replacement, heart failure, and COPD.

Overall, two hospitals in Pennsylvania made the honor roll and 26 hospitals were on the state's best hospitals list.
