Chesterbrook Academy Hosts Apple Distinguished School Showcase

Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School hosted an interactive open house to demonstrate how it incorporates technology for students

On Nov. 21, Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School in West Chester hosted 60 educators from across the U.S. for an Apple Distinguished School showcase event. Last year, Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School earned the Apple Distinguished School recognition for 2018-2021 for its integration of technology into the learning experiences of its students, as well as the professional development of its teachers.

As part of its Apple Distinguished School recognition, Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School hosted a one-day interactive open house to show the visiting educators how it leverages technology to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking among students. During the event, students showcased some of the projects they have completed using Apple technology by providing interactive demonstrations. The visiting educators came from other Apple Distinguished Schools or schools that are working to earn the Apple Distinguished School recognition.

To learn more about how technology is regularly incorporated into the educational experience at Chesterbrook Academy Elementary School, read the interactive iBook developed by students and staff, or view it as a PDF.
