Coatesville Resident Makes Forbes's Richest List
Six Pennsylvania residents made the list of the nation's richest people from Forbes, and four are in the Philadelphia area.
COATESVILLE, PA — It's no surprise that the affluent Philadelphia suburbs are home to some of Pennsylvania's richest people. Forbes released its 2020 Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans Tuesday, and Chester County billionaire made the cut.
Among the Philly-area names to make the list is Coatesville's Mary Alice Dorrance Malone.
Malone is the largest shareholder of the Campbell Soup Company.

Forbes estimates her net worth at $3.5 billion.
According to Forbes, Dorrance's grandfather, John T. Dorrance, invented the condensed-soup formula that transformed the company in 1897.

The Forbes 400 has features six billionaires, four of which live in and around Philadelphia.
According to Forbes, Victoria Mars is worth $7.2 billion, making her Pennsylvania's richest resident and the 74th riches in the nation.
Mars is the heir to and Board of Directors Chairman of Mars Inc. candy and pet food company.
Amazon's Jeff Bezos leads the overall list with a net worth of $179 billion. The best second-place of all-time belongs to Microsoft's Bill Gates at $111 billion and third is Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg at $85 billion.
President Trump landed at No. 339 following a $600 million loss in net worth, Forbes said. He's still worth $2.5 billion.
