Sarah Cash, Associate Curator at the National Gallery of Art in the Department of American and British Paintings, will discuss the history of collecting Hudson River School paintings, including the involvement of early collectors such as Luman Reed and William Wilson Corcoran. Her presentation will include examples from the recently re-installed American landscape painting galleries at the National Gallery, which now incorporate works from the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s collection.

The Museum will open at 5:30 p.m. with the program at 6 p.m. followed by a reception.
