Despite Strike, West Chester University Athletics Events Will Continue
For the time being at least, the strike will have no affect on West Chester athletics events.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- For the time being at least, the strike will have no affect on West Chester athletics events, the athletic department announced Wednesday afternoon.
All upcoming events are expected to take place as scheduled.
That includes games scheduled for this weekend and the rest of the week.

The faculty union for Pennsylvania's 14 state universities, including West Chester, went on strike at midnight on Tuesday when they were unable to reach an agreement with the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Major issues included adjunct professors, healthcare, and faculty pay, among other things.

The university is holding a Q and A session for students on Thursday, October 20, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., in Main Hall Room 168.
WCU Interim President Christopher Fiorentino and WCU administrators will be on hand.
