Exton SEPTA Station Reopens After Gas Line Struck, Ruptured

A gas line was struck and ruptured near the Exton SEPTA station early Friday.

EXTON, PA — A gas line was struck and ruptured by workers near the Exton SEPTA station early Friday.

The incident occurred at around 9:22 a.m. Friday when SEPTA workers were digging in the area.

The train station was briefly shut down as PECO crews responded to the scene.

By around 10:09 a.m., the train station was opened back up.

The public was asked to avoid the area as crews addressed the situation.

There were no injuries, and there is no danger to the public, police said.
