Frost Advisory Issued In Chester County

For the first time this season, temperatures could potentially dip below freezing overnight in parts of Chester County.

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — For the first time this season, temperatures could potentially dip below freezing overnight in parts of Chester County.

The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory for the county and certain parts of the surrounding region, in effect from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Specifically, the advisory notes the West Chester, Honey Brook, Oxford, and Kennett Square areas.

Sensitive outdoor vegetation could be killed or damaged, and residents should consider taking steps to cover and protect it.

Mild temperatures with highs in the low 60s or 50s are expected to continue for the next week. However, it's not anticipated by forecasters that things will get quite as chilly over the next week as they will on Friday night.
