Fundraiser Launched For Injured West Chester Rustin Student
West Chester Rustin HS's Madeline Duffy suffered a spinal cord injury in a severe car accident in November.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- West Chester Rustin HS's Madeline Duffy suffered a spinal cord injury in a severe car accident in November. Now the local community is working together to help her on the long and tough road to recovery.
A fundraiser to benefit Madeline will take place on Friday, Feb. 24 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rustin High School.
The first floor of the school will become a mini golf course. Tickets are $5 per person, and all proceeds will be donated to the HelpHopeLive cause.

Madeline is currently paralyzed from the chest down, but has regained some movement in her arms and wrists, her family said.
"She is gaining strength every day and is determined to make as much recovery as possible," her family said.

The campaign website describes Madeline as an active girl who loved riding her dirt bike, hiking with her dogs, and playing soccer.
