Shelter-In-Place Lifted In Downingtown Hazmat Incident: UPDATE
A Chester County hazmat team cleared a chemical spill in the 400 block of Boot Road.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA —A shelter-in-place order in Downingtown this morning for a hazmat incident at 415 Boot Road has been lifted, Kevin Beck, on-call public information officer, said.
A 1-mile, shelter-in-place order was called at 10:2o following reports of a chemical spill at Chem Station, a company specializing in industrial cleaning chemicals.
No major injuries were reported.

One school was evacuated and parents were notified about the incident, Beck said.
Chester County Emergency Haz-Mat Response Team remains at the scene.
