How to Dispose of Your Christmas Tree in West Chester

You should dispose of your Christmas tree now. The between time between Christmas and New Years is when most Christmas Tree fires happen.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- Christmas has come and gone, and it's time to start thinking about disposing of that drying-out Christmas tree.

The between time between Christmas and New Years is when most Christmas Tree fires happen, fire officials said.

The borough of West Chester will collect Christmas trees from curbsides in the first two weeks of 2017. All decorations, tinsel, and lights must be removed from trees. Trees placed out in plastic bags will not be collected, officials said.
