Inmate Convicted After Attacking Chester County Prison Guard: DA

The assault was deemed "unprovoked," officials said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A man was convicted this month after punching a Chester County Prison Corrections Officer in the face multiple times, the district attorney's office said.

Sincere Brown, 26, of Coatesville, was convicted on counts of aggravated assault by prisoner and simple assault.

Brown was already incarcerated for a robbery, assault, and kidnapping case back in 2023. He's serving the third year of a 15 to 30 year sentence.

Officials said Brown's recent attack on the corrections officer was unprovoked.

“Corrections officers have a difficult job and should never be attacked while at work," Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement. "I am grateful that the jury took this case seriously and held the Defendant accountable."
