At Least 1 Hospitalized After Tree Falls On SUV In Chester County

CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A tree fell on a vehicle amid dangerously high wind gusts in Chester County, hospitalizing at least one person, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at around 10 a.m. Thursday morning on Stonegate Court in West Whiteland Township.

6ABC reports that the coroner was called to the scene, but authorities have not confirmed that victim died.

Further circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately known.

The road was shut down for hours as crews responded to the scene.

Gusts up to 50 miles per hour battered the region on Thursday morning into the early afternoon, bringing down trees and electrical wires and causing roadway hazards around Chester County.
