Maxwell, Moskowitz Win Democratic Chesco Commissioner's Primary
Breaking: Josh Maxwell and Marian Moskowitz have won the Democratic primary for Chester County Commissioner.
WEST CHESTER, PA — Downingtown Mayor Josh Maxwell and education leader Marian Moskowitz have won the Democratic primary election for Chester County Commissioner.
The pair will now go on to face sitting Republican Commissioners Michelle Kichline and Terence Farrell in the general election in the fall for the right to sit on the three-person board.
Maxwell, 34, a graduate of West Chester University, had run for Pennsylvania's House of Representatives (74th District) in 2018 but lost in the Democratic primary to now Rep. Dan Williams. He was elected as Downingtown's youngest mayor at the age of 26 and has worked to improve transit development in the area.

Moskowitz serves on the board at West Chester University, and was also named to the Board of Governors for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. She has community development experience and was recently named the president of Phoenixville's Colonial Theatre.

Republicans Kichline and Farrell ran unopposed in Tuesday's primary.
