Musician Threatens To Kill West Chester University Student: Report

An amateur musician allegedly threatened to kill a West Chester University student and to "shoot up the school if he had to," police said.

WEST CHESTER, PA -- An amateur musician allegedly threatened to kill a West Chester University student and perform a mass shooting at the school, according to a report in the Daily Local News.

Jamie Zannino has been arrested with misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, harassment, and related counts, according to court documents.

Zannino made the threats in text messages to his ex-girlfriend, authorities said.

The report states that he would "shoot up the school if he had to" and that he would also kill a male friend of his ex-girlfriend's. He further alleged that the police would not able to stop the shooting.

Zannino, 21, of Manchester, New Jersey, was originally arrested on December 8, court documents show. He performs in the band When Blood Comes Ashore.
