New West Chester Bakery, Donut Shop Now Open
Fractured Prune Doughnuts, a unique new bakery featuring all kinds of fancy donuts, will open its doors next week, owners said.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Fractured Prune Doughnuts, a unique new bakery featuring all kinds of fancy donuts, will open its doors next week in West Chester, owners said.
The new shop will be located at Bradford Plaza on 700 Downingtown Pike.
A grand opening event will begin at 7 a.m. next Tuesday.

“Many in the area are familiar with Fractured Prune from the Shore and we’re excited to bring them to everyone here at home,” Brandy Bell-Truskey, a franchisee of the Fractured Prune West Chester, said in a statement. “This is exactly what West Chester has been missing. We are also proud to open here in our community. We live here, our children go to school here, we shop here and now we work here as well.”
The Ocean City, Maryland based chain was founded in 1976 and has become known for hot, hand-dipped donuts will numerous glazes and flavors like key lime, mocha, blackberry, cookie crumbs, sea salt, sprinkles, and more.

"Made-to-order concepts – in this case a designer doughnut shop – comprise one of the most popular new dining trends today," said Barry Borsky, leasing representative with Levin Management, who leases the space. "Brands like Fractured Prune capitalize on consumers' growing appetite for customized food experiences. There is nothing else like Fractured Prune available in this marketplace, and we are confident it will be a welcome addition to the local food scene."
The store will take its spot next to a busy plaza that includes Petco, Giant Foods, Dollar Tree, Walgreens, and more.
