1 Suspect In Custody, 1 Still Sought After Shooting In Downingtown: Cops
Authorities are investigating after a man was shot in Downingtown on Sunday night, and more shots were fired elsewhere in the borough.

DOWNINGTOWN, PA — Authorities are investigating after a man was shot in Downingtown on Sunday night, and more shots were fired elsewhere in the borough, police said Monday afternoon.
One suspect is in custody, and police are currently seeking a second suspect.
The incident occurred at around 8:53 p.m. on July 9 on the first block of Gable Avenue.

One male victim was suffering from a gunshot wound in the upper chest, police said.
He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released in stable condition, according to authorities.

Police found a firearm at the scene.
Later on in the evening, at 10:57 p.m., shots were reported fired on the 100 block of Brandywine Avenue, authorities said.
It does not appear that anyone was hit by a bullet during that second incident, police said. A firearm was also recovered from this area, as well.
It's not yet clear if the two incidents are connected, although Mayor Josh Maywell said that they appear to be. Police have not yet hinted at a motive for the shootings.
