Victim In West Chester Shooting Death ID'd As 26-Year-Old Man
Breaking: Details emerged Wednesday after the shooting at West Chester nightclub left a 26-year-old man dead Tuesday night.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The man who was shot dead near the campus of West Chester University late Tuesday night has been identified, Chester County District Attorney's Office said Wednesday afternoon.
Eric Brown, 26, was shot in the chest and killed at around 9 p.m. at the Star Social Club, located on 212 East Market Street, authorities confirmed.
It's not yet clear what led to the shooting, although the DA's Office called it "senseless." He was rushed to Paoli Hospital before later being pronounced dead.

West Chester University had issued a warning on Wednesday as the incident occurred not far from campus. Officials said that Brown was not a WCU student.
No suspects have been arrested. One suspect is described as a black male with a white shirt and a black hat, according to authorities.

The incident was described by police as a "targeted event." Police also said that they have identified suspects, and that most of the incident inside the Star Social Club was caught on surveillance video.
West Chester University warned students to be aware of their surroundings and to report all suspicious situations. Police said that they "see no reason for concern."
