
PennDot workers will continue road surface improvements on Route 202 between Matlack Street and the Westtown Road from Tuesday to Thursday.
The $19.3 million project began in May of 2010 and is expected to be completed May, 2012.

Route 202 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Matlack Street and Westtown Road on Tuesday through Thursday (July 12-14) for concrete patching. Northbound traffic will be down to one lane each night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and southbound from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

From 7 p.m. Friday (July 15) to 5 p.m. Sunday (July 17), Route 202 will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Matlack Street and Westtown Road for the replacement of deteriorated concrete pavement.
In addition, the Westtown Road on-ramp to Route 202 South will be closed and detoured from 7 p.m. Friday (July 15) to 5 p.m. Sunday (July 17) for concrete replacement. The posted detour will be: Route 202 North to Route 3 West (West Chester Pike) to Route 202 South.
The northbound Route 202 off-ramp to Westtown Road also will be closed and detoured from 7 p.m. Friday (July 15) to 5 p.m. Sunday (July 17) for concrete replacement. The posted detour will be: Route 202 North to Route 3 West (West Chester Pike) to Route 202 South to the Westtown Road exit.
Motorists are advised to allow more time for travel on this stretch of Route 202 during construction or use an alternate route because traffic slowdowns will occur.
