Route 202 Overnight Lane and Ramp Closures Monday and Tuesday

Route 202 construction continues.

The following is a press release from PennDOT.

As part of the $19.3 million project to improve four miles of Route 202 in West Goshen and Westtown townships, Chester County, overnight operations are scheduled Monday and Tuesday (March 26-27) on Route 202 for sign structure installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today.

On Monday and Tuesday (March 26-27), northbound and southbound Route 202 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Route 322 and Paoli Pike from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning.

In addition, the Paoli Pike on-ramp to Route 202 North will be closed Monday and Tuesday (March 26-27) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The posted detour will follow Route 202 South to the Westtown Road exit, left onto Westtown Road and left at the ramp to Route 202 North. 

Crews are installing new sign structures as part of PennDOT’s project to rehabilitate and resurface 4.3 miles of Route 202 between the Route 100 Interchange and High Street. Construction began in May 2010 and is scheduled to finish in May 2012.

Allan A. Myers, LP of Worcester, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $19,377,081 project that is financed with 100 percent federal ARRA funds.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions on Route 202 and other major highways before heading out.
