'Serial Burglar' Arrested In West Chester: DA
Police tracked down the suspect in the string of incidents using video, fingerprint, and DNA evidence, the DA said.
WEST CHESTER, PA — A man who committed a string of burglaries that rocked the West Chester area has been arrested, police said.
Lawrence Dass, 27, of Brookhaven, faces numerous charges.
“Burglars destroy our sense of security in our homes," Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement. "Thanks to a combination of good police work and an ability to leverage technology during the investigation, West Chester is a safer place."

Incidents occurred in Aug. 2024.
Investigators used video surveillance, fingerprint evidence, and DNA evidence to lead them to Dass, they said.

They also connected him to the theft of a West Chester police patrol car and body armor vest using video footage, according to the DA's office.
Dass is charged in at least five different burglaries, though police did not specify exactly where in the borough they occurred, or what was taken during the incidents.
Dass was booked at Chester County Prison after failing to post $50,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 21.
