West Chester Duck Donuts Opens This Weekend

The famed Outer Banks donut purveyors are opening their long awaited West Chester location this weekend.

WEST CHESTER, PA — Donut lovers rejoice: Duck Donuts will open its West Chester location this weekend, continuing an expansion that has brought three new stores of the popular chain to Montgomery and Chester counties.

The newest Duck Donuts location is at the Shoppes Dilworthtown Crossing. The opening will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 a.m. It is the first Duck Donuts in Chester County.

The purveyor of the classic breakfast treat takes donuts to a new level, including a wide variety of flavors and cravings like peanut butter, bacon, coconut, and more. They also offer "hot drizzle" choices on top, like hot fudge, raspberry, and salted carmel, in additon to an "OBX breakfast sandwich" and more.

"Similar to many franchisees before us, our first Duck Donuts experience occurred during a family vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina and we were instantly hooked,” said store owner Terry Matalavage. "Our family has lived in Chester County for more than 10 years and we are so excited to open our first location in West Chester and to have the opportunity to bring a taste of the Outer Banks closer to home for everyone in the community to enjoy."

Founded in 2006 in Duck, North Carolina — in the Outer Banks — Duck Donuts has established several stores in Pennsylvania and New Jersey over the past year. A King of Prussia location, which opened last year, was the area's first and only spot until a Collegeville location opened in Providence Town Center in September.
