Breaking: A West Chester elementary school closed on Monday after a tree crashed into nearby power lines.

WEST CHESTER, PA — A West Chester elementary school closed on Monday after a tree crashed into nearby power lines.
Mary C. Howse Elementary School and A Child's Place were shut down after the early morning incident.
School district officials said the tree was sparking across the power lines. A power outage has impacted the area as well.
