West Chester To Hold School Safety Community Meeting
West Chester, like other area school districts, is grappling with how to respond to the ongoing threat of gun violence.

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester, like other area school districts, is grappling with how to respond to the ongoing threat of gun violence. That concern has become heightened in the wake of the most recent shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, which left 17 students dead and many others injured.
In response, West Chester Superintendent Jim Scanlon will host a School Safety Community meeting to bring together students, parents, administrators, and federal and state legislators.
Further details on the format of the meeting are forthcoming, but participants will be able to submit questions and discussion topics via an online form to be addressed in the meeting.
