West Chester Man, Contractor Defrauded Clients Of $400K: Cops
A West Chester man and local contractor was paid by clients to complete extravagant projects, but then never did the work, officials said
WEST CHESTER, PA — A West Chester man and local home improvement contractor has been sentenced to prison after authorities said he defrauded customers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Michael Sheehan, 41, of West Chester, was sentenced to 2.5 to ten years in prison, and was ordered to pay $446,294 in restitution, according to court records.
Sheehan ran a company called Element Kitchen and Bath Design, based in Paoli, and admitted to taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in down payments for home renovation work he either never completed, or did so poorly.

Sheen agreed to complete work including designing, installing, and supplying materials for renovations to homes, but then didn't finish it, authorities said.
One Chester County customer told authorities that the firm and Sheehan owe him a total of about $89,610 after they failed to complete a significant home remodeling project.
