Analysts combined a number of factors to determine that West Chester is the best place for college students in the United States.

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester is doing something right, apparently.

Analysts combined a number of factors to determine that West Chester is the best place for college students in the United States.

The study comes from HighSpeedInternet.com, a consumer research business for individuals researching Internet service options.

Using something called the "city analyzer tool," researchers with HSI examined factors in the borough like the low cost of living, access to high-speed internet, a predominantly single population, and high walkability.

"Whether students choose to attend a few Sykes After Dark events, take a walk down West Chester’s historic Main Street, one of three winners of the 2017 Great American Main Street Award, or hike through the peaceful Stroud Preserve, there's plenty to do if you're a young adult living in your city. HSI ranked the top five cities for college students nationally. West Chester beat out Santa Montica, California (5), College Station, Texas (4), Provo, Utah (3), and Ann Arbor, Michigan (2).
