West Chester Schools Closed Wednesday

Breaking: The West Chester Area School District has cancelled school on Wednesday.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The West Chester Area School District has cancelled school on Wednesday due to the icy, wintry storm sweeping across the region.

Original reports from the district called for a two-hour delay, but that changed. It was a last minute call, as the district made the decision to close at around 7:05 a.m.

"It doesn't look like it will be clear enough for our buses to get our high school students to school by 9 a.m., which is when they'd arrive with a two-hour delay," the district said in a statement.
