West Chester Schools Not Dismissing Early; No After-School Events

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester did not follow the cue of some local school districts, opting to remain open for a full day on Tuesday despite the forecasted winter weather.

Several local districts, including neighboring Spring-Ford, chose to dismiss early. Phoenixville was another district that joined West Chester in remaining open.

A few inches of snow are possible in the area, with rain likely turning to snow at some point in the afternoon before frigid temperatures set in.

After school activities beginning at 4 p.m. at West Chester are canceled on Tuesday, however.

A Child's Place is open until 6 p.m.
