West Chester SD Announces Delayed Opening Monday

West Chester School District will have a delayed opening on Monday, March 4.

WEST CHESTER, PA — West Chester Area School District will have a delayed opening on Monday, March 4, due to the winter storm.

Schools will open two hours late. A Child's Place will open at 9 a.m.

Officials said they would reassess the situation in the morning and announce any changes by 7 a.m.

If school is canceled, there will not need to be a makeup day, due to an additional student day in the schedule.

The storm brought freezing rain, hail, and snow into the region on Sunday night, with estimates of accumulation for the northern and western Philadelphia suburbs ranging from four to six inches.
