West Chester U. Marching Band To Perform At Eagles Playoff Game
West Chester University's marching band will play on the big stage this weekend during the Eagles vs. Seahawks Wild Card playoff game.

WEST CHESTER, PA — The incomparable Birds will have some help from the local area this weekend when they take on the Seattle Seahawks in a Wild Card playoff matchup in south Philadelphia.
West Chester University's Incomparable Golden Rams Marching Band will perform at Lincoln Financial Field during halftime of this Sunday's game.

"2019 was a historic year for the RamBand, and we are 'kicking off' 2020 in exciting fashion," the band said in a statement announcing the performance.
The 325-member band regularly performs at West Chester University games, the annual Christmas parade, and other major events around the area. They've performed at Eagles, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, New York Jets, and Pittsburgh Steelers game before, but a playoff performance is a whole other level.

The halftime performance at this Sunday's game will include Elton John's "Philadelphia Freedom," as well as the Eagles fight song, "Fly Eagles Fly." Andrew Yozviak, the director of bands, will arrange the performance.
The band plans to practice at the NovaCare Complex near the stadium until just before kickoff at 4:40 p.m. The school added that they are also considering other ways to involve the band in the day's events.
Just last fall, the band became the first Division II school in history to be presented with the prestigious Sudler Trophy from the John Philip Sousa Foundation. The award is known as the "Heisman Trophy of the college band world."
