Officers later stopped his vehicle on Old River Road, recovering a loaded 9mm handgun, ammunition, and suspected marijuana, leading to a long list of felony and misdemeanor charges and $150,000 bail.
2. King's College celebrates 80 years with Anniversary Mass (timesleader.com) — King's College marked its 80th anniversary with a special Mass on its downtown Wilkes-Barre campus, celebrating how the school has grown from one building to a major local institution. Bipartisan FLIGHT DECK Act introduced to give controllers a pilot's-eye view (timesleader.com) — From Wilkes-Barre, local readers are hearing about a new bipartisan FLIGHT DECK Act that would let air traffic controllers ride along in cockpits to better understand pilots' workloads. The proposal has strong backing from controllers at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, who say firsthand flight-deck experience would improve communication, strengthen teamwork, and ultimately enhance aviation safety nationwide.
