Both recruits bring local ties, education, and public-safety experience, and will complete Act 120 training before beginning field work on city streets in April 2027.
   

• HS FOOTBALL: Physical Valley View knocks off Wilkes-Barre Area (thetimes-tribune.com) — Wilkes-Barre Area's football team fell 17-7 to a physical Valley View squad at Wolfpack Stadium in Plains Township, with the Wolfpack's offense held largely in check until a late touchdown. Coaches and players on both sides described a hard-hitting game decided by a few big plays, as Wilkes-Barre Area dropped to 0-3 on the season.
