• Wyoming Area answers the bell in second half against Crestwood (timesleader.com) — Wyoming Area football fans in Wyoming can celebrate a big second-half comeback, as the Warriors exploded for 30 unanswered points to beat Crestwood 30-13 in West Pittston. Senior quarterback Luke Kopetchny led the surge with 160 rushing yards, multiple touchdowns, and a key interception, while the defense clamped down after halftime to secure the team’s third straight win.
   

• Three arrested in West Pittston home invasion (newportdispatch.com) — A July armed home invasion on Montgomery Avenue in nearby West Pittston has led to the arrest of three suspects after an investigation by the Wyoming Area Regional Police and Luzerne County prosecutors. Police say a woman inside the home allegedly conspired with two men who entered masked, threatened the victim with a gun, and stole personal property. Two suspects are jailed without bail, and the third awaits arraignment.
