MORRISVILLE BOROUGH, PA — A Morrisville man has been convicted of attempted murder in an October 2025 shooting at the Orchard View Apartments that left a man seriously injured.
Kevin Donte Watts, 42, of Morrisville, was also found guilty after a three-day trial that ended on Wednesday of two counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, firearms not to be carried without a license, possession of a weapon, receiving stolen property, and harassment, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said.
Sentencing for Watts was deferred to Aug. 13 pending completion of a pre-sentence investigation, authorities said.
On the morning of Oct. 11, 2025, Watts was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a woman. The victim was seated in the rear while the vehicle was parked at the Orchard View Apartments in Morrisville, authorities said.
An altercation occurred between Watts and the victim in which the two men got out of the vehicle. Watts then shot the victim in the chest with a small black pistol equipped with a green laser sight, authorities said.
After the shooting, Watts fled before later being captured. The victim was taken to a hospital in Trenton, New Jersey, for treatment of his injuries.
Investigators also found that the weapon used was a stolen .40-caliber gun loaded with hollow-point bullets.
