LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents over the past week.
These are the criminal incidents:
July 8
ATTEMPTED RETAIL THEFT — 600 block of Heacock Road at McCaffrey’s Food Market, reported at 11:47 a.m. The complainant reported a retail theft in progress. A man entered the store and attempted to remove $649.31 worth of merchandise without paying. He was confronted by employees and left the cart. He fled in an Acura MDX. An investigation is ongoing.
FRAUD — 500 block of West Trenton Avenue at CVS, reported at 5 p.m. The complainant reported being contacted by someone claiming to be from their bank stating their account was compromised and they had to send $500 through “Pay it Here” service at the CVS.
July 7
RETAIL THEFT — 600 block of Heacock Road at McCaffrey’s, reported at 3 p.m. The manager reported that on June 19 a man entered the store and removed $386.43 worth of energy drinks without paying.
July 3
FRAUD:
DRUG ARREST — West Trenton Avenue and Plaza Boulevard, reported at 4:02 p.m. Police on patrol stopped a vehicle for violations. A further investigation led to the arrest of the 47-year-old male driver from Levittown and the 48-year-old female passenger from Lower Makefield Township for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They were taken into police custody.
