Morrisville Names New Schools Superintendent

MORRISVILLE BOROUGH, PA — The Morrisville Borough School District has found its next schools superintendent.

After a several-month search that drew candidates from five states, the Morrisville School Board will vote on the appointment of Daniel Clara at its Sept. 23 meeting.

Clara rose to the top of a field of 24 applicants on the strength of a 30-year career built around consistent results delivered for students, said the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, which conducted the search of behalf of the school district.

Clara served as an assistant schools superintendent in the Southmoreland School District near Pittsburgh for the past six years, helping guide Southmoreland into Pennsylvania's Great Schools program in 2025.

Clara's grant writing efforts also secured funding for instructional programs, student activities, facility improvements, and school safety.

The board is expected to introduce Clara to the community following his appointment at a public forum on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. in the Morrisville High School auditorium.
