YARDLEY BOROUGH, PA — The Yardley Historical Association will host a walking tour on Thursday afternoon of Canal-O-Ween.
Tales of Delaware Canal nightmares and the spectacle of 300-plus carved jack-o-lanterns will be shared on the walking tour, which takes place at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The one-mile walk along the towpath and North Edgewater Avenue will begin at the intersection of Morgan and Fuld Avenues.
To reserve a spot, e-mail info@yardleyhistory.org. A $10 per person donation will support the collections work of the Yardley Historical Association.
Flood escapes and failures, a maiden stuck in the mud, perilous snapping turtle captures, a golf ball inundation, and a supposed Underground Railroad tunnel are stories that will be told by Susan Taylor.
Halloween bonuses are the Canal-O-Ween pumpkins that line the Canal and a pumpkin chocolate cookie treat at the end of the walk.
