The Yardley 2040 Comprehensive Plan will help guide decisions about the borough's future, including land use and open space, sustainability, community investments and improvements, and preserving Yardley's unique character.

"I'm incredibly proud of the Yardley Borough Planning Commission for their diligent work over the past year plus on the next iteration of our comprehensive plan," Mayor Caroline Thompson told Patch on Thursday.

Borough officials are asking residents what they love about Yardley, what improvements they want, and what should be prioritized in the years ahead.

"The backbone of any good Comp. Plan is resident and other stakeholder (businesses, property owners) feedback," the mayor said.

The survey information will help the Yardley Borough Planning Commission formulate a new comprehensive plan.

Thompson said the planning commission seeks

"a high level of input during the survey phase and also hopes to involve residents in person during sessions later on. We are using social media, email blasts and there is also a team that I am part of that's hand delivering flyers to the entire borough to ensure diverse and ample feedback," Thompson said.

The survey is completely confidential.
