Burglary At Popular Eatery, $1,200 Stolen: Lower Makefield Crimes

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for the past week, including a burglary at a popular eatery.

BURGLARY — 900 block of Antique Alley at Chipotle, reported at 9:22 a.m. Police responded to the report of a burglary not in progress. The store manager reported the rear door was forced open upon their arrival to work. A locked safe in the office and a cash drawer were open, and $1,200 was missing from the safe. Surveillance video captured a known male employee enter the office at 1:10 a.m. An investigation is ongoing.

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Shop Rite, reported at 6:19 p.m. Loss Prevention reported that two unknown women entered the store and removed $974.07 worth of merchandise without paying. An investigation is ongoing.

Feb. 20

CREDIT CARD FRAUD — 200 block of Cinnabar Lane, reported at 7:32 a.m. The complainant reported an unauthorized use of their credit card for $1,164.94.

RETAIL THEFT — 1600 block of Big Oak Road at Kohl’s, reported at 12:08 p.m. Loss Prevention reported that on Feb. 17 at about 8:15 p.m., two unknown men entered the store and removed $333.90 worth of merchandise from the Sephora section without paying. An investigation is ongoing.

IDENTITY THEFT — 1500 block of Esther Lane, reported at 1:44 p.m. The complainant reported unknown person(s) used their information to open an account with Marketplace Health Care.
