Qigong (“chee gong”) is the exercise of life energy. Where better to practice it than outside in nature?
A shaded greenspace will provide us with plenty of room to breathe and move while harmonizing our energies in community with the earth, the water, the sky, and each other.
"I noticed an improvement in my balance and breathing in just a few weeks."
Rooted in Chinese medicine, qigong combines slow, gentle movements with breathing and present-moment awareness. Both simple and challenging, this form of 18 “movement-pictures” unifies body, heart, and mind. The practice of qigong has been shown to provide several benefits, including:
· better balance
· increased flexibility
· enhanced immunity
· clearer, fuller breathing
· more vitality
· positive mental and emotional states: joy, calm, and confidence.
Classes are open to everyone, at any fitness level. Offered on a pay-what-you-can basis.
