Human Remains Found After Vehicle Fire In Lower Makefield
Lower Makefield Township Police said human remains were found inside a vehicle that was on fire in the Saint Ignatius Cemetery Wednesday.
LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA —Human remains have been discovered in a vehicle that was on fire in the Saint Ignatius Cemetery on Wednesday night, police said.
The Lower Makefield Township Police Department said that at 10:45 p.m., police and the Yardley-Makefield Fire Department responded to the River Road cemetery for the report of a brush fire.

Fire crews extinguished the vehicle fire and then discovered that human remains were inside the vehicle.

The human remains were located in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
The body was removed from the vehicle and transported to the Bucks County Coroner’s Office
for further examination and autopsy.
Because of the condition of the body, there could be no immediate identification made nor could a cause or manner of death be considered, police said.
Police said that positive identification will likely rely on DNA and/or dental records.
