I-295 East Blocked By Overturned Truck
It was not immediately clear whether there were any serious injuries in the Tuesday afternoon crash.
LEVITTOWN, PA — All eastbound lanes of Interstate 295 in Bucks County were shut down Tuesday afternoon as emergency crews responded to an overturned tractor-trailer there.
On Twitter, Middletown Township emergency management coordinator Jim Bampfield said the crash happened at I-295 and East Lincoln Highway. By about 3:30 p.m., the highway's lanes were open to traffic again, according to PennDOT.
Crews were called to the crash at about 1:40 p.m. on a day when snow, ice and rain made roadways in Bucks County a slippery mess. Earlier in the day, a car flipped over on its roof on Interstate 95 between the Academy Road and Woodhaven Road exits.
