LMS - "Seniors Snack & Learn Program"

The Lower Makefield Seniors recently hosted the inaugural event in their series of "Senior Snack & Learn Programs".

On April 30th, in collaboration with Community Health Choices, a division of PA Health & Wellness, they presented an educational session focused on healthy eating habits. Estelle Walker, Membership Retention Specialist in Customer Experience, led the program, which highlighted the importance of "National Nutrition Month." The presentation included a virtual tour of the MANNA kitchen plus an engaging discussion aimed at encouraging seniors to adopt nutritional practices that support overall well-being.

The Lower Makefield Seniors "Senior Snack & Learn" series outreach initiative is a dedicated program designed to empower all senior community members. These periodic sessions will provide valuable information geared towards educating our growing demographic population. Presentations will vary covering all aspects surrounding aging such as nutrition, exercise, health, finances and safety. Each one promises it will help you make a more informed decision. By fostering a supportive environment, the initiative encourages seniors to engage with one another, share experiences, and acquire practical knowledge to enhance their daily lives.

Keep your eyes open for when we announce our next "Senior Snack & Learn" program. We want you to stay active, informed, and connected.
