More Heavy Rain Coming To Pennsylvania This Week, Rivers Could Flood: NWS

Forecasters warn rivers could flood as a result of this rainfall forecasted Thursday and Friday. A flood watch has been issued.

Heavy rain is on the way to the region, prompting a Flood Watch in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties beginning Thursday morning and going through Friday afternoon.

The rain, which could include thunderstorms, will likely be heavy at times, especially Thursday morning into early afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Rainfall totals of one to two inches with as much as three inches are expected.

The rain doesn't come at a good time. It's the third rainfall event in the last week and the ground remains wet, while rivers and stream continue to run high.
