YARDLEY, PA — Work is set to begin next week on a safety improvement project at an intersection in Lower Makefield Township.

Gov. Tom Wolf's office announced the project on Friday as part of a plan to install 73 Americans With Disabilities act-compliant curb ramps at 18 intersections in Bucks County.

The work, at Big Oak Road and Makefield Road, is set to run from Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12. Work will be going on from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, with temporary lane closures there planned. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area because there will be slowdowns.
