'Senior Assassin' Game Warning Issued In Lower Makefield

Lower Makefield Police is alerting the community that Pennsbury High School students are playing the game in the township.

LOWER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Lower Makefield Township Police Department is warning residents about the “Senior Assassin” game being played by Pennsbury High School students.

"We are aware that high school seniors in the area are once again participating in the annual 'Senior Assassin' game," police said.

For those unfamiliar, the game involves students “stalking” and “eliminating” each other while using water guns in an effort to be the last one standing.

"While students may view this as harmless fun, these activities can create serious safety concerns for residents, staff, and law enforcement," police said.

Every year, police departments receive 911 calls from concerned community members reporting suspicious behavior—only to discover it is related to this game, police said.

Additionally, toy guns, water guns, and replica weapons can easily be mistaken for real firearms, causing fear, panic, and potentially dangerous misunderstandings, police said.

Police said they were reinforcing advice distributed by the Pennsbury School District administration.

"While we do not condone the game, we want to keep our community informed and emphasize the importance of safety," police said.

To the students participating:

  • Your safety — and the safety of others — must remain the priority
  • If you choose to play, do not trespass, especially at night.
  • If someone asks you to leave, do so immediately.
  • Use brightly colored water toys only.
  • Avoid anything that could be mistaken for a real weapon.
  • Do not wear masks or dark/camouflage clothing.
  • Do not hide around schools, businesses, or private residences.
  • If approached by law enforcement, do not run or hide.
  • Cooperate fully and explain what is happening.
  • To residents: If you observe suspicious activity, please do not confront individuals yourself. Call 911 and allow law enforcement to respond and investigate safely.
