SEPTA Train Derailment Causes Delays For Lower Bucks Commuters
SEPTA said Trenton Regional Line could start service off behind schedule Thursday morning. There were no injuries in Wednesday's derailment.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A train derailment near the Trenton Transportation may cause delays on the Trenton Regional Rail Line at the start or service Thursday.
SEPTA said the derailment happened around 11 a.m. Wednesday when the Trenton Line train had just left Trenton Transportation Center, traveling inbound toward Center City in Philadelphia.
The Trenton Line serves the northeastern suburbs of Philadelphia with service in Bucks County along the Delaware River to Trenton. There are stops in Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, and Tullytown. Yardley has a stop on the West Trenton Line.

The train was traveling at a low rate of speed. There were 25 passengers on board. There were no serious injuries to customers or SEPTA employees. An investigation into the cause of the derailment is ongoing, SEPTA said.
SEPTA was planning on operating a reduced schedule on the Trenton Regional Rail Line through the end of service Wednesday due to continued activity at the site of the derailment near the Trenton Transportation Center. It is also possible that there will need to be repair work performed in the track area.

Both inbound and outbound Trenton Line trains will operate approximately hourly through Wednesday night. Delays are also possible for the start of service Thursday, Sept. 29.
In its press release, SEPTA said it would more details about service as new information becomes available.
