Stirring Up Connection: Young Chefs Academy Launches “You & Me” Cooking Series in Yardley

New Friday morning program invites preschoolers and their caregivers to build skills, confidence, and meaningful time together

YARDLEY, Pa. — April 10, 2026 — Families in the Yardley area will soon have a new opportunity to connect in the kitchen as Young Chefs Academy introduces its “You & Me” Adult + Preschooler Cooking Series, a four-week program designed for children ages 3 1/2 to 5 and their grown-ups.

The series, held at Young Chefs Academy’s Yardley location at 301 Oxford Valley Road, Unit 804, invites participants to cook side by side each Friday morning, beginning April 10. Over the course of four sessions, young chefs and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers will mix, measure, and taste their way through simple, engaging recipes.

The program is designed to go beyond basic cooking instruction. Through hands-on activities, children will build confidence while developing early math concepts, fine motor skills, and foundational kitchen techniques. The class emphasizes the use of real utensils, encouraging safe, supervised participation in age-appropriate tasks.

In addition to skill-building, the series focuses on sensory exploration and teamwork, creating an environment where both child and adult actively collaborate in the cooking process. Organizers say the goal is to foster not only independence in young children but also meaningful one-on-one time between participants.

“This is more than just a cooking class,” the program description notes. “It’s about creating shared experiences, building connections, and sparking a lifelong love of cooking.”
